Photo Exhibition «People, nature, technology» at the ICONE

July 11, Dhaka – A month long photo exhibition started at the premises of Information Center on Nuclear Energy in Novo Theatre (ICONE) on the eve of Russian Photographer’s day 2019. The exhibition gives a chance to have an exciting journey to the countries, which build nuclear power plants using Russian technologies. It is a possibility to see people`s emotions, wildlife and high-tech, feel the world’s diversity in all its beauty.
The exhibition will feature 24 unique works of professional and amateur photographers from different countries including Bangladesh. The photographs were selected by an international jury out of hundreds of entries, submitted for ASE International Photo Awards - 2019, which was organized by Atomstroyexport (ASE), engineering division of Rosatom State Corporation, Russia.
The inauguration activities included master-class on photography, science lecture, tele-conference with the ICONE in Minsk. The photographers from Bangladesh and Belarus shared their experience with the audiences as well as the visitors shared their emotions from the photo materials. Students from BUET Nuclear Club, BUET Photographic Society and MIST along with free flow visitors participated in the sessions and photo-exhibition. General Secretary of Bangladesh Photographic Society Yousuf Tushar took a master class on «How to be a good photographer». Prof. of MIST M A Rashid Sarkar delivered a lecture on nuclear power plants and VVER-1200 Safety features.
Maxim Dobrokhotov, director of Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Dhaka gave out the prizes to the photographers, Bangladeshi participants of the contest. He said, “There is a very good relationship between Russian and Bangladeshi people. I hope that, this kind of activities will strengthen the relationship.”
