The Sustainable development workshop for the members of the first NPP construction project in Egypt - El-Dabaa NPP on the subject of the existing global practices was held on February 19 as a part of the implementation of the future ASE’s program in this area.
The members of El-Dabaa project office in Moscow, branch office in Cairo and also employees of other subdivisions of the Engineering Division took part in this workshop.
The head of Rosatom State Corporation project office on sustainable development, Ms. Polina Lion, told about the world’s best cases in the field of sustainable development followed by the discussion on possibility to apply them at El-Dabaa NPP site. The employees invited from TENEX, Joint-Stock Company shared their experience in development of the Suppliers’ Code and outlined its advantages both for the owners and for the executors. During a lively dispute, the employees proposed to implement some practices of sustainable development for entire Engineering Division, for example, to collect the waste separately and arrange the wastepaper collection.
