Andrei Petrov

Director General of Rosenergoatom Concern, First Vice President for Construction, ASE JSC


Born in 1963.

Mr. Petrov graduated from Ivanovo Energy Institute with a degree in Thermal Power Plants. He is PhD in Technical Sciences.

Mr. Petrov has gained 30-year work experience in the industry: in 1985, he started working for Khmelnitski NPP of the USSR Ministry of Atomic Energy as a 5th grade auxiliary inspector of the turbine hall.

From 1992 to 1999, Mr. Petrov worked for Balakovo NPP as a stage shift supervisor.

From 1999 to 2001, he was Deputy Chief Engineer for operation of Volgodonsk NPP.

In 2001, Mr. Petrov was appointed Chief Engineer of Volgodonsk NPP.

From 2006, he was Deputy Director General — Director of Rosenergoatom Concern Branch “Smolensk Nuclear Power Plant”.

On September 7, 2015, Mr. Petrov was appointed Director General of JSC Rosenergoatom Concern.

Mr. Petrov is awarded with second-class medal of the Order of Merit for the Motherland (2003), has a title of Honored Power Engineer of the Russian Federation (2009), E.P. Slavsky decoration of Rosatom State Corporation (2017) and other industry awards.
