The Rostov NPP is one of the leading power industry enterprises of the southern federal district of Russia.

Power units put into commercial operation:

— power unit # 1 — in 2001;
 power unit # 2 — in 2010;
 power unit # 3 — in 2014.

The large-scale construction of NPP started in October 1979. In 1990, the construction of NPP was suspended and it was temporarily shutdown. In 2000 the Gosatomnadzor of Russia issued a license for continuation of Power unit 1 construction. Works on completion of power unit 2 were resumed in 2002.

Power unit No. 3 is an example of efficient use of technologies developed by JSC ASE EC. Due to implementation of the innovation technology of design management and complex engineering Multi-D objects, this unit was started-up 2 months before the scheduled time. Commissioning of power unit 4 is scheduled for 2018.
