One of the main tasks of innovation development of Rosatom State Corporation is to enhance competitive advantages of products and services at nuclear power markets through upgrading of existing technologies and technical retooling of production assets.

When conducting its activities, the Rosatom State Corporation implements innovations in various ways. The main accent is made in the innovation development through own technologies and competences. Innovative development is also applied in cooperation with external production and technological partners, in implementation of own projects. Finally, acquisition of patents, licenses for various technologies, acquisition and integration of market player are used in some cases.

According to the plans, the volume of R&D works financing will make at least 4.5 % of the profit in Rosatom State Corporation in 2020.

The Company’s main guidelines and innovation development trends are stated in the" Certificate of Innovation Development and Technological updating of Rosatom State Corporation for the period until 2030″ (in the area of civil engineering).

The programme includes measures/projects for development of nuclear power technologies, initiatives for development of the innovation management systems, several general industry projects aimed to enhance efficiency of all industry (civil) enterprises’ activities.

JSC ASE EC is a managing organization of ASE Group of Companies that is founded as part of the Engineering Division of the Rosatom State Corporation. In 2016, JSC ASE EC formed the unit of science and innovations, determined the model of the unit organizational structure and the list of prospective development trends, such as improvement of VVER technologies, Gen.IV reactors, prospective products (research reactors, desalinating systems, RAW management, Multi-D in other areas).

Rosatom State Corporation consolidates enterprises of the one of the most high-tech industries and its innovative development is a pre-requisite for retaining the national technological leadership and defense capacity, that is why it is one of the basic priority areas of its activities.
