Occupational safety

Rosatom State Corporation determined three absolute rules that nuclear industry workers shall be guided by:

1. Safety is an absolute business priority for the nuclear industry.

2. Managers of all levels are the leaders in safety issues.

3. We are all jointly and severally responsible for safety in the industry.

In pursuance of these rules the Engineering Division has adopted a Policy in the field of quality, environmental protection, occupational safety and health. This document states our main goal i.e. strengthening the leadership on the global market of the power units to be constructed with a priority of nuclear, radiation, industrial and environmental safety of facilities, provision of safe labor conditions and environment preservation.

The Engineering Division has developed, implemented and certified an Occupational safety management system (OSMS) in accordance with OHSAS 18001:2007 international standard. OSMS provides not only for systematization of the occupational safety activity but also generation of a new model of interfaces in the occupational safety management system that is based on cooperation and involvement of one and all employees of the company.

Safe labor conditions is a priority goal of the Company, one of the factors of sustainable social and economic growth.
