On August, 12th 2008 Atomstroyexport received one more high estimation of its activity on the object "Shelter" of Chernobyl NPP. For the exclusive contribution to provision of safety of the works under the projects of the Plan of realization of measures on the project "Shelter", Vitaly Dragunov, the representative of Atomstroyexport JSC in Ukraine, was presented with the official safety certificate. The certificate was handed over by L.Dodd, the Director of the Project Management Group (CHNPP, Bechtel, EDF, Battelle).Vitaly Dragunov has been working on Chernobyl NPP projects since 2004. All this time he has been carrying out the functions of the Contractor’s official Representative under SIP contracts “Stabilization Measures. Services, equipment and materials" and "Increase of safety of the project "Shelter". Earlier the heads of the Project Management Group and foreign observers repeatedly marked a high level of professionalism with which Atomstroyexport performs works on the project "Shelter". But the main company’s success consists in the fact that even the most complex works are carried out without risk for health of the personnel. Safety of the people is put on the first place, and it is provided with the whole complex of the specially developed measures and rules strictly observed on the project. Information. At the end of 2006 Atomstroyexport as the leader of the consortium "Stabilization", which includes also the Ukrainian organizations, completed performance of the contractual obligations on carrying out the stabilization measures on the project "Shelter". In a year the term of the guarantee period expired, during which the Customer (GSP “Chernobyl NPP”) did not have remarks. Now the consortium "Stabilization" headed by the leader – Atomstroyexport JSC, realizes the next contract signed with GSP “Chernobyl NPP” in January 2008. It includes a number of works on safety enhancement of the project "Shelter", including – repair of the lightweight roof of the project. The given contract, as well as the previous one, was concluded within the framework of realization of SIP program (the Plan of realization of measures on the project "Shelter") financed from the means of the International Fund "Shelter". The Fund’s administrator is the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
