President of Atomstroyexport JSC, Mr. Leonid Reznikov, took part in a work meeting at LNPP-2

President of Atomstroyexport JSC, Mr. Leonid Reznikov, visited LNPP-2 on July 23rd 2008 within the framework of a visiting work meeting of Atomenergoprom JSC. Deputy Director General of Atomenergoprom JSC, Director General of Rosenergoatom Сoncern (customer LNPP-2), Mr. Sergey Obozov, Deputy Director General – Director for Development of Rosenergoatom Concern, Mr. Alexander Polushkin, Deputy Director General –General Inspector of Concern, Mr. Erik Pozdyshev, and other representatives of the customer, general contractor and contractors took part in the meeting.
Saint – Petersburg Institute “Atomenergoproject” is a General Contractor of LNPP-2. Mr. Leonid Reznikov who has occupied now the position of President of Atomstroyexport JSC in view of merger of ASE JSC and SPbAEP had been Director of Saint – Petersburg Institute “Atomenergoproject” till recently.
As Mr. Sergey Obozov informed during the meeting: LNPP-2 customer accepted a new system for power plant construction project management provided by the General Contractor.
The main point of a new management system is that it excludes participation of the so-called “subcontractors” and fully concentrates in hands of SPbAEP JSC engineering company. To this end a representation office of the institute will be established directly at the location of construction of a large-scale power facility in the town of Sosnovy Bor of Leningrad region.
Mr. Leonid Reznikov has pointed out that in case this scheme proves good, it will be applied at other new power plants, including at Baltic NPP and Kola NPP-2, in the tender for design and construction of which SPbAEP JSC will participate actively. “Thereupon, a long - term positive experience of Atomstroyexport JSC could not have come at a better time”, – Mr. Leonid Reznikov said.
Following the concept of company’s development, Atomstroyexport JSC is solving at present an important strategic task aimed at enhancement of competitiveness of NPP construction projects in Russia and abroad. Atomstroyexport JSC faces a new level of development as an engineering company and will expand the geography of the activity, consolidating design and engineering resources, strengthening the engineering unit by means of merger with a leading Russian design institute.
