On 20th of March 2008 Kudankulam NPP (India) has received next scheduled 40th lot of equipment. Equipment with total weight of 3,000 tones was shipped from Saint-Petersburg to port Tutikorin.

Atomstroyexport equipped the lot in accordance with the equipment delivery schedule. This delivered shipload lot consisted of over 500 tones of piping and approximately 4,500 units of reinforcement including for completion of manufacturing systems in the reactor compartment and in turbine island of the Unit No. 1 as well as cable, pumps, blowers and other equipment manufactured by Russian and Ukrainian companies in compliance with the signed contracts.
40th lot of equipment delivered to the construction site of Kudankulam NPP will enable to perform required erection and commissioning works and to get prepared for the important stage of Kudankulam NPP construction that is opening of the first power unit on the open reactor.
Atomstroyexport has started shipments to Kudankulam NPP in October 2002. In total 314,000 cubic meters of equipment weighting 76,328 t have been supplied to the plant. Dispatch of the next (41st) shipload lot is scheduled for the end of April 2008.
