Atomstroyexport has won the open competition on selection the General Contractor for performing works on the project “Construction of the facility for purification of special sewerage waters and waters containing medium active wastes of chemicometallurgical production” held by the federal state unitary enterprise Mayak.
The competition was held by Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation as part of the target-oriented program “Maintenance of nuclear and radioactive safety in 2008 and till 2015”.
The protocol of the tender committee on acknowledging Atomstroyexport JSC the winner of the tender was signed on December 4, 2008.
The state contract provides for performing design and survey, construction and assembly, adjustment and commissioning works in the necessary and sufficient scope for completion and commissioning the facility (key-ready construction). The cost of works makes more that 1 billion roubles – 1billion 60 million roubles. The implementation of the project is planned to be finished by 2012.

The federal state unitary enterprise “Production enterprise Mayak” is the enterprise of Russian nuclear weapons complex, part of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation. Production enterprise Mayak includes reactor, radiochemical, chemicometallurgical, radioisotopic and instrument-making enterprises. Major areas of activity are implementation of defense order, regeneration of irradiated fuel of nuclear reactors, production of radioactive isotopes. On particular the task of utilization of fissile material taken from withdrawn nuclear weapons is implemented on the basis of the chemicometallurgical enterprise.
