NIAEP-ASE takes part in the 18th International energy and environment conference and exhibition ICCI 2012

On 25-27th April, 2012, the 18th International energy and environment conference and exhibition ICCI 2012is taking place at one of the most prestigious expo centers in Turkey (Istanbul Expo Center). For the first time it was organized in 1994 and since then it has been one of the biggest energy-focused exhibitions in Turkey and Eurasia attracting a great number of national and international participants.Minister of energy and natural resources Taner Yildiz and other top managers of the country’s energy industry have taken part in the opening ceremony of the international fair and conference. The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, the Ministry of Forestry and Hydraulic Works and the Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning support the fair during which 39 different sessions will be held. One session focuses on nuclear power. NIAEP-ASE is presented at the exhibition as part of the State corporation Rosatom exposition featuring information on NPP construction capabilities abroad, practical experience in application of advanced Russian nuclear technologies and projects being implemented and planned. What is in the spotlight is, firstly, the Akkuyu NPP project executed in accordance with the agreement signed on 12th May 2010 between the government of the Russian Federation and the government of the Republic of Turkey concerning cooperation on NPP construction and operation project to be built on the Akkuyu site in the Republic of Turkey and, second, safety of Russian nuclear power technologies. The NIAEP-ASE exposition arouses great interest among Turkish specialists, engineers, managers of the country’s energy industry and representatives of the leading foreign nuclear companies.

The merged company JSC NIAEP – JSC Atomstroyexport (ASE) was established in March 2012 by the resolution of the State atomic energy corporation Rosatom. Thus, NIAEP has become a holding company JSC ASE. The structure of the new consolidated company represents a network of offices in charge of construction project management, including: - a design institute in Nizhny Novgorod;- three offices in charge of NPP construction project management (in Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow and St-Petersburg);- representative offices in 10 countries of Europe and Asia where projects are being executed or planned (Bulgaria, Hungary, Vietnam, Iran, India, China, Turkey, Czechia, Slovakia and Ukraine). Today over 4000 people are working for our company; this figure amounts to over 7000 if the personnel of the subsidiaries is included. 20 projects either being under construction or design are now underway in Russia and abroad.
