On 31st January concept of annual report discussed in JSC NIAEP, stakeholders involved

JSC NIAEP, a leading engineering company in Russian nuclear industry, presents itself as an open and transparent company and takes preparation of public annual report in a serious and responsible way. Valery Limarenko, Director of JSC NIAEP, emphasized many times that “The annual report is a company’s business card, presented to every partner, either current or potential; moreover, it is the public image of the Russian nuclear industry”. As part of preparation of the report, it is planned to hold three dialogues with stakeholders, that is, with organizations, interested much in the company’s public reporting. The discussion will be in the form of an open dialog between JSC NIAEP management and representatives of nuclear colleagues, partners, authorities, industry, business, education, public and media. The concept of the annual report was discussed at the first dialogue, held on 30th January. Vladimir Katz, first deputy director in economy at JSC NIAEP, chairman of public reporting committee, presented, to the audience, a report on implementation of the year 2011 plans and obligations and then passed on to major subjects of the annual report. The following was selected as priority subjects: innovations of the company, JSC NIAEP penetration to the international market and sustainable development. Competitive advantages of the company will be specially highlighted by demonstrating its technological lead and achievements in innovations that allow entering the world engineering market. 50 GRI indicators (performance in sustainable development), including 8 CRESS indicators, will be disclosed in the integrated report, which corresponds to the GRI B+ application level. Thus, the company’s annual report will be up to B+ level of the international reporting standard. Representatives of Nizhny Novgorod nuclear companies (JSC Afrikantov OKBM, FRPC NIIIS, RFNC-VNIIEF), government of Nizhny Novgorod Region, Nizhny Novgorod manufacturers’ and employers’ association, non-profit partnership “Nizhny Novgorod Nuclear Engineering Business Center”, administrations of the territories, involved in the company’s operations, associated universities, public organization and media actively discussed the proposed topic. During the discussion a number of requests were made concerning the content of the report and next public meetings. For example, Irina Aloushkina, president of JSC “Sarovbusinessbank”, pointed out to such important aspects as creating a positive image of nuclear power engineering and charity of the company in the areas of its operations. Alexander Khobostov, director of Nuclear Engineering and Applied Physics Institute of R.Y. Alekseev Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University, underlined the relevance of the joint projects, carried out by the university and the company, related to training of highly-qualified personnel for nuclear industry, who will be able to face the new challenges. Another meeting with the stakeholders is scheduled to be in March. Its agenda will include “Innovations of the company: lead in smart engineering, deployment and development of advanced information systems for product management, engineering and construction”.
