Alexander Hazin , Construction Chief - Director of the Volgodonsk branch of NIAEP, reported on it at the meeting of the construction management board charged for Unit 3&4 construction.
A . B . Hazin marked out that specialists are erecting polar crane in the Unit 3 reactor compartment ( RC ) . He also reported that the grouting of the 85 th tier of the evaporative cooling tower started at an elevation + 136,3 m .
The main topic of the contracting organizations authorities reporting were arrangements on preparations for construction and erection works in winter.
A series of issues on equipment and materials procurement was also discussed, in particular , delivery of large-sized equipment for Unit 3 – steam generator (the third out of four).
Within the meeting issues germane to Unit 4 construction were considered. It was pointed out, that grouting of the circular foundation of the cooling tower is completed as well as grouting of the combined pump station foundation plate in amount of 1659 m3.
