JSC NIAEP – CJSC ASE: a videoconference on the Tianwan NPP second phase construction project has been held

On the 19th September a videoconference was held to discuss construction of Tianwan NPP 3&4 (TNPP-2 second phase) in People's Republic of China 19.
On behalf of the Russian party the management and specialists of the merged company JSC NIAEP – JSC ASE headed by Valery Limarenko, director, participated in the videoconference while on behalf of the Chinese customer – representatives of JNPC ( Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation ) headed by M. Xue-Jian, general director of JNPC.
“We have discussed with the JNPC management preparatory works for the nearest key operation – first concrete casting and also the summary of the fourth Coordination meeting on the TNPP-2 construction that took place in mid September, commented Valery Limarenko, - During the conference the customer assessed positively the progress of the works observing that the TNPP 3&4 construction is going on in accordance with the schedule”.

TNPP is the biggest project in economic cooperation between People's Republic of China and Russian Federation . In accordance with the Russian – Chinese intergovernmental agreement, signed in 1992, JSC ASE was in charge of Tianwan NPP 1&2 construction project. In 2007 the first two power units of TNPP (2x1060 MW) were handed over to the Customer (JNPC), and the power plant was commissioned, the warranty period proving its safe and reliable operation. On 23 rd November 2010 JSC Atomstroyexport and the Chinese companies JNPC, CNPE and CNEIC signed the general contract for construction of Tianwan NPP second phase (power units 3&4, 1060 MW per unit). In August 2011 China and Russia confirmed commencement of the contract.

The merged company JSC NIAEP – JSC Atomstroyexport (ASE) was established in March 2012 by the resolution of the State atomic energy corporation Rosatom. Thus, NIAEP has become a holding company JSC ASE. The structure of the new consolidated company represents a network of offices in charge of construction project management, including: - a design institute in Nizhny Novgorod;- three offices in charge of NPP construction project management (in Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow and St-Petersburg);- representative offices in 10 countries of Europe and Asia where projects are being executed or planned (Bulgaria, Hungary, Vietnam, Iran, India, China, Turkey, Czechia, Slovakia and Ukraine). Today over 4000 people are working for our company; this figure amounts to over 7000 if the personnel of the subsidiaries is included. 20 projects either being under construction or design are now underway in Russia and abroad.
