JSC NIAEP: Opened the III International Research and Practice Multi-D Forum “Life Cycle Management of Complex Engineering Facilities. Tools for Operation Support”

On June 13, 2013 at 9:00 in Moscow opened the III International Research and Practice Multi-D Forum “Life cycle management of complex engineering facilities. Tools for operation support”. The Forum convener is the merged engineering company JSC NIAEP-JSC ASE, an enterprise of the State Corporation Rosatom.
Over 400 Russian and foreign enterprises of the nuclear, building, oil gas and other industries that develop the LCM systems from different countries are invited to participate in the Forum .They are from over 20 countries: Russia, Belorussia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, France, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Germany, India, China, Vietnam, Japan, the USA, Switzerland, Korea, Spain, Slovakia, Denmark, Finland, the SAR and from Great Britain.
Among the company-participants are SC Rosatom, JSC Concern Rosenergoatom, JSC Atomenergoproekt, JSC OKB Afrikantov, FGUP RFYATS VNIIEF, FGUP NIIIS n.a. During the two days (13 and 14 June) the specialists will be discussing modern trends in operation of complex engineering facility, tools for engineering to provide effective management, and also solutions on transfer of engineering data between the stages of design/construction and operation. The panel sessions will be joint by representatives of operating organizations, engineering companies, and also by vendors of IT solutions in the area of PLM and operation.
The Forum discussion program includes a number of events informing on innovations and elaborations that are implemented in JSC NIAEP and on other enterprises of the State Corporation Rosatom, particularly, these are workshops: “Efficient construction. Implementation experience of Rosatom’s Productive system during construction of nuclear objects. Attained results. Plans for further development” “ Use of the Nuclear Industry Electronic Catalogue of equipment in design”, “Information technologies: from design to operation” , “Customer’s standpoint at NPP life cycle management at the stage of design and construction of NPPs in Russia and abroad. Changes management. Configuration management. Requirements management. Cost management”, “Experience in cost management during construction of a nuclear object. Overseas construction. Plans for further development”.
One of the key Forum events will be the workshop “Project VVER-TOI. Feasibility characteristics. Safety concept”. This project will also be the subject of a workshop on the Nuclear and Systems Fair which is part of the Forum. On the workshop its participants will acquaint themselves with prerequisites for suppliers’ selection for objects under the VVER-TOI project.
On the eve of the Forum’s opening, on June 12, the top-management of JSC NIAEP provided the foreign delegations with a unique opportunity to visit the site of the Rostov NPP Unit 3&4, where they have seen how the uniform information system works at the objects under construction.

In June 2012, Nizhny Novgorod hosted the II International Research and Practice Forum “Life cycle management of complex engineering facilities. Development of construction competitive technologies”. The Forum was attended by representatives of 200 companies from Russia, Belarus, the Czech Republic, France, Sweden, Germany, Ukraine, India, China, Vietnam, Japan, the USA, Switzerland, Korea, Spain, Slovakia, Denmark, and Finland.
The first Multi-D Forum “Intellectual design. Life cycle management of complex engineering facilities” was held by NIAEP in 2011.

The merged company JSC NIAEP – JSC Atomstroyexport (ASE) was established in March 2012 by the resolution of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom. Thus, NIAEP has become a holding company JSC ASE.
The structure of the merged company represents a network of offices in charge of construction project management, including:
- a design institute in Nizhny Novgorod;
- three offices in charge of NPP construction project management (in Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow and St-Petersburg);
