Rostov NPP: First Group of Vietnamese Specialists Underwent Training on Units 3&4 Site

14 specialists of Concern “ Lilama ” from the Socialistic Republic of Vietnam have undergone production training in a training and production base of JSC NIAEP-ASE. Totally, 51 Vietnamese specialists are being trained on the Units 3&4 site.
On October 24 the work results of the first group of Vietnamese specialists were summed up. Addressing to the present, Vladimir Belov, Vice-President of projects in Russia- Head of JSC NIAEP representative office in Volgodonsk, thanked the Vietnamese specialists for their dedicated work: “You've been offered a unique opportunity to work on construction of a power unit, and what is remarkable- to work on all its facilities- from supply and storage facility to the site. I am confident that the gained experience will assist you in your further work, first of all, in construction of Ninh-Thuan NPP – 1 in Vietnam ».
Gennady Dovgan, Head of the contracting organization RosSEM, also highly appraised the work of the Vietnamese specialists: “For 7 months you've been demonstrating a high level of competence. This was marked both by the Russian colleagues and by the top management of our company. I can state that the future of the nuclear energy in Vietnam is in safe hands”.
At the end of the event Vladimir Belov awarded the Vietnamese specialists with memory badges and certificates on completion of training on JSC NIAEP-ASE facility, awarded foremost specialists with certificates of merit and handed over a Letter of gratitude to Concern Lilam top management.
Training of Vietnamese specialists on JSC NIAEP-ASE facility is carried out within the signed intergovernmental agreement between the Russian Federation and the Socialistic Republic of Vietnam on cooperation in construction of a nuclear plant in Vietnam . Under this agreement the Russian party trains Vietnamese specialists according to the plan of joint actions to implement Memorandum on mutual understanding between JSC Atomstroyexport and Vietnamese Electrical energy corporation EVN (on cooperation within the construction project of Nhin Thuan-1 NPP).
Training of 51 Vietnamese specialists in construction started in March 2013. During this time they underwent training in an offspring ( SMU -1) and contracting organization ( RosSEM ) of NIAEP - ASE . The training program envisaged, apart from construction practice , acquisition of skills in technical documentation , mastering of safety techniques and studying of Russian norms and requirements to quality of works performed on nuclear facilities. Besides, the Vietnamese specialists learnt on Rosatom Production system (RPS) opportunities in optimization of industrial processes in power units construction.
