NIAEP-ASE participates in Central European Nuclear Industrial forum of “ATOMEX-EUROPE 2013”

The merged company NIAEP-ASE participated in the Central European nuclear industrial forum ATOMEX – EUROPE 2013 held on 7-11 October, 2013, in Brno, Czech Republic.
The forum and the expo are organized under the patronage of Premysl Sobotka, deputy chairman of the Senate of Czech Republic, in cooperation with Ministry of Industry and Trade of Czech Republic, RF Embassy in Czech Republic, RF Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Czech Republic, RF Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Association of machine building technologies under the auspices of the South Moravia region and “BVV”.
The key objective of the forum was business expansion in the nuclear industry with involvement of European countries, primarily, suppliers of equipment and services for NNP, Russian and foreign companies registered for participation in the expo and the forum.
NIAEP-ASE participated in the exhibition as a part of the exposition organized by the State Corporation Rosatom. The stand of the merged company showed its main competencies and options for cooperation with NPP equipment suppliers from countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
In addition to it, the program included speeches of representatives of the company's management. Vice-president and director of prospective projects of JSC NIAEP Gennady Tepkyan made a report on the progress of NPP projects in Russia and abroad. The presentation of the head of Main marketing and business department of Moscow branch of JSC NIAEP Alexander Potapov was focused on procurement planning in JSC NIAEP.
On 9th October work was going on at the stand of the State Corporation Rosatom. The following issues were discussed: practicalities of procurement for the nuclear industry, qualification requirements and standards of the State Corporation Rosatom and life cycle management of complex engineering projects. Ivan Uvarov, head of Department of development and technology information projects, spoke of Multi-D – life cycle management technology for complex engineering projects. Then he made a presentation on the topic “Equipment electronic catalogue as an element for forming a suppliers' chain” which was followed by a number of face-to-face meetings with representatives of Czech suppliers. Ivan Uvarov also spoke in detail of the nuclear equipment and materials database developed in JSC NIAEP, of how to connect to it and of its specific features and requirements to suppliers. The participants of the forum were shown methods and conditions of participation in procurement procedures for the State Corporation Rosatom and also examples of successful cooperation with suppliers, prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation in NPP construction projects in Russia and abroad.
The exposition of the State Corporation Rosatom and the stand of the merged company aroused a great interest in potential equipment suppliers for NPPs in operation or under construction both in Russia and abroad, Czech nuclear experts and representatives of foreign companies.
According to vice-president and director of prospective projects of JSC NIAEP Gennady Tepkyan the Central European nuclear industrial forum ATOMEX-Europe offers good opportunities to expand and intensify international cooperation of the merged company NIAEP-ASE taking into account the role of foreign suppliers, Czech companies, in particular, in implementation of NIAEP-ASE NPP construction projects both in Russia and abroad.

The merged company JSC NIAEP – CJSC ASE was established in 2012 following the decision of the State Corporation Rosatom.
