Tianwan NPP construction has become the largest project in the field of nuclear energy between Russia and China. From the Chinese party the Customer of the project is JNPC company, that celebrated its 20th anniversary on 18 December, 2017. The seminar on the final results and achievements on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of JNPC company establishment and successful activity was devoted to this remarkable anniversary.
This event is extremely important also for Tianwan nuclear power plant being constructed under the direct and active participation of Russian companies included in Rosatom State Corporation. ASE Group of Companies are partners from the Russian party for the implementation of this large successful nuclear energy project in China. Over 100 representatives from different branches of nuclear industry of Russia and China took part in the seminar held in Lianyungang. Representatives of different divisions of Rosatom State Corporation took part in this event, including JSC TVEL, JSC Rusatom Service, as well as ASE Group of Companies - Y.G. Ivanov, the Vice-president, A.Y.Bannik, Director for projects in China and A.V. Yatsenko, Deputy Head for Executive Administration Division of JSC ASE EC. The seminar was opened by the Director General of JNPC - Mr.Shen Yanfeng. In his speech he highlighted main stages of the company establishment, development milestones and success achieved for 20 years of fruitful activity. Head of administrative structures of Chinese National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) - Li Huaping, Chairman of the Board of Directors, secretary of the party committee of Chinese National Nuclear Power (CNNP) - Chen Hua, deputy mayor of Lianyungang - Xu Jiabao presented their celebration speech, as well as the Vice-president of ASE Group of Companies, Y.G. Ivanov, who presented medals “For international cooperation in the nuclear industry” of Rosatom State Corporation to the workers specially distinguished in the NPP construction of the People’s Republic of China companies. The seminar participants considered many important aspects related to Tianwan NPP - the important power energy facility of the PRC, also, the following was mentioned: - a considerable contribution of TNPP in the improvement of the environmental situation throughout the whole territory of Jiangsu province, in the east of China; - active involvement of TNPP in the implementation of the environmental concept adopted by the PRC administration: “Clean energy - green mountains - ecologically-clean water and air”; - for 10 years from putting Units 1 and 2 into operation in 2007 over 170 bln kW/hours of electric energy has been generated by TNPP; - TNPP is the main tax payer of Lianyungang city district and Jiangsu province. - from the start of TNPP construction over 5000 specialists out of the local citizens have been employed. JNPS plans includes expanding market outlets of generated electricity, increasing the UCF of units 1 and 2 (installed capacity utilization factor) by more than 90% in the nearest 3 years, as well as having 8 units for commercial operation on TNPP site by 2027.
