The Tretyakov Gallery and the Rosatom Engineering Division have launched the

“Collection of Impressions. Photographers and Designers Speaking on Travelling“ exhibition.

The exposition features 11 installations, consisting of works by contemporary Russian designers and architects and photographs by the ASE International Photo Awards 2020 contest finalists from Bangladesh, India, Egypt, Hungary, Finland, Turkey, Belarus, Uzbekistan and Russia.

The exhibition is dedicated to travelling, which we miss so much during the pandemic. It is routed through emotions and memories, visual images and sounds, stories of how travel is refreshing and inspiring.

“I believe that many of us love to travel more than anything else. The exhibition provides an onlooker with an opportunity to find himself in various countries. The photos are mated in an interesting way with objects representing modern design, style, fashion, ceramics. All this merges into a kind of journey in space, into a very important message for all of us, i.e. trying to preserve the beautiful planet on which we all live as much as possible”, Zelfira Tregulova, Director General of the Tretyakov Gallery said.

By creating new meanings and associations, the photographs complement the objects of industrial, graphic, book, furniture and light design, as well as textiles and ceramics.

These are the works of leading Russian designers and architects, such as: Andrey Bartenev, Denis Simachev, Yaroslav Rassadin, Katya Bochavar, Svetlana Tegin, Sergey Smirnov, Victoria Andreyanova, ARCHIPOLE company and many others.

“We have got involved in a very large and important event which is an incredible experience for us. The exposition is dedicated to all countries with which we collaborate and which are interested in the development of the nuclear industry. The exhibition will enable you to see wonderful works made by the photographers and enthusiastic travellers. These photographs reflect the work of Russian nuclear scientists, which is captured not only in the magnificent buildings of cooling towers and reactors, but also in the beauty of nature which we strive to preserve by using nuclear technologies. The works fill the exhibition area with a special vibe which, I am sure, every visitor will feel”, Nikolay Podorov, ASE JSC Senior Vice-President for Corporate Functions said at the opening of the exhibition.

The exposition is complemented by musical pieces by Viktor Osadchev which have become a guide through the exhibition and help not only pass from one hall to another, but transfer our fantasies to other continents. The exposition is designed by Igor Gurovich, the iconic graphic artist.

The project is complemented by an audio guide recorded by Tim Ilyasov, the teacher of the British Higher School of Art and Design, fashion researcher and journalist, and an educational program is planned.

The exhibition is open from July 7 to September 26, 2021.
