The second stage of the international "BIM Management" educational project (information / digital modelling) has been launched in Nizhny Novgorod.
The project is implemented by the Rosatom State Corporation Engineering Division, in collaboration with Vysotsky Consulting Company, the Nizhny Novgorod State Civil Engineering University (NNGASU), Altec Systems and the Nizhny Novgorod “Russian Students’ Team” Regional Division supported by the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Ministry of Civil Engineering and Development of Agglomerations, Autodesk, Renga Software, Lumion, Hexagon, Trimetari consulting, TBS software, CSoft companies.
More than 1,800 students have already submitted applications to participate in the project, namely students of specialized Rosatom universities, employees of the nuclear industry and representatives of (civil engineering, design, etc.) companies from more than 20 countries. The applications are being collected until the end of October.
The six-month training course will let the participants develop their professional competencies in the areas of BIM technologies, team-working, assigning responsibilities and meeting deadlines when completing BIM projects.
“The previous project has made it possible to establish a professional community of more than 1,500 specialists who are capable of implementing projects of any complexity which is proved by the created map of digital historical buildings in Nizhny Novgorod”, Alexey Agafonov, the Atomenergoproekt JSC Director for Project Support and Development, head of the "Rosatom" State Corporation "Engineering Design” industry-specific competence center, pointed out. “In this training course, we have actually expanded the areas of business operations, and the teams are going to create, among other things, digital copies of facilities in Yekaterinburg”, he went on to say. “I am sure that this experience will be useful for both the participants and the city. “
