Alexander Korchagin is appointed ASE Senior Vice President for NPP construction projects management

Alexander Korchagin has been appointed the Senior Vice President for NPP construction projects management of ASE JSC (Rosatom State Corporation Engineering Division).

Previously, he held the position of the Director General in NovaWind JSC (Rosatom State Corporation division responsible for implementation of programs in the new energy field).

In ASE JSC, Alexander Korchagin will be in charge of execution of contracts for implementation of El-Dabaa NPP construction project in Egypt, as well as development and improvement of the project management system, including development of methodological documents, staff training, project management system assessment and implementation of management methodology.

Alexander Sergeevich Korchagin was born on January 20, 1980 in Kirov. He has two university degrees: Educational Psychologist, completed in Vyatka Pedagogical Institute, and Master of Business Administration in Vyatka State University.

In 2016, he headed the first Russian project in production of wind turbines and construction of wind power plants.

Since 2009, he has held managerial positions in the Rosatom structure as the developer, manager and active participant in projects of industry products and services development, significant for the State Corporation. While holding various positions, Alexander Korchagin supervised projects related to enhancement of efficiency of managing the lifecycle of nuclear facilities and key technologies, quality and competitiveness on the global market of industry products and services and optimization of their economic efficiency. He was one of the policymakers for Rosatom’s Energy Business Development Strategy until 2030.

He has been awarded with insignia “For Contribution to the Nuclear Industry” (1st and 2nd degree), Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Energy of the RF “For active participation in the development of the Energy Strategy of the Russian Federation for the period until 2035”. He has the honorary title of Honored Power Engineer of the CIS.
