Rosatom State Corporation Engineering Division became organizer of the industry workshop devoted to development of Atom Space industry communication platform. The event that was held in the face-to-face and the online format, was attended by over 200 leaders of Rosatom departments and organizations of the Engineering division.
In his opening speech, Mr. Evgeny Abakumov, Rosatom’s IT director, said that currently about 40 thousand specialists of the nuclear industry regularly use the Atom Space services in their work. Mr. Abakumov mentioned that the resource made it possible to expand the communication possibilities, including remote meetings with proper level of confidentiality. “Rosatom was the first Russian company that started the implementation of an import-independent corporate messenger and achieved significant progress in this field. It is difficult to be a pioneer, but we are successfully overcome the difficulties which no one has met in Russia before us”, said Mr. Avakumov.
Ms. Oksana Karmishina, Director of the Personnel Policy Department of Rosatom, spoke about successful introduction of the User Account functions into the Atom Space corporate messenger, which made it possible to transfer about 80% of personnel document circulation to digital format. Dmitry Kichatov, Head of Unified Communication Department of Greenatom JSC, the developer of Atom Space, spoke about the possibilities of the messenger and the plans of the development of the application for 2023.
During the round table-discussions within the framework of the workshop, the participants studied the relevant functions of the platform and put forward proposals for its development. In particular, the users proposed to improve the intellectual management of the application, ensure the possibility of integration with other systems, both the popular messengers and the corporate solutions, add services for approval of various applications and event reminder bots. Among the most creative ideas was the introduction of blog projects in Atom Space, integration with neural network and creation of original sticker packs.
“Atom Space is a universal mobile space for corporate communication in the nuclear industry. A functional complex that has no analogues among such solutions is available here: a messenger, calls, streaming, User Account; new services can be added when necessary. This is a very convenient and secure industry platform”, said Olga Tolstunova, Vice President for Digitalization and IT of ASE JSC, when summing up the results of the workshop.
Accelerated development of the industry largely depends on the rate of transition to the up-to-date technological basis and domestic digital solutions. The country's leaders set the task to ensure mass implementation of Russian IT solutions in all strategic industries. Rosatom actively participates in this work, coordinating the creation of import-substituting software and digital services for various applications.
