The work of the section was arranged and held on the initiative and with direct participation of JSC “Atomstroyexport”.
Manager of the section, First Vice-President of JSC Atomstroyexport Alexander Glukhov in his opening address emphasized a special role of engineering companies in the development of the country’s nuclear field and the relevance of the subject discussed. At the same time he noted that as of present day there hasn’t been developed a unified approach to the assessment of quality of engineering works, and therefore exchange of experience between the companies working in this field is especially valuable.
The reports represented by JSC ASE, Moscow and Saint-Petersburg Institutes Atomprojekt, OKB Gidropress arouse great interest among the listeners. The issues of NPP construction effectiveness, decreasing of risks, personnel professional training, agreement upon technical documentation, equipment unification and others were brought up.
Besides engineering companies, Russian and foreign organizations interested in the development of cooperation with enterprises of Russian nuclear power engineering field took part in the work of the section.
Summing up the results of the meeting Alexander Glukhov pointed out: “EPCM-companies acting in Rosatom systems and implementing the nuclear field development program of Russia, in spite of existing difficulties, on the whole manage their task successfully”.
At the International Exhibition ATOMCOM 2008 acting from June 25th to 27th, 2008 during the Forum work JSC Atomstroyexport represented its stand and the model of Tianvan NPP in China, constructed on Russian technologies under management of the Russian company.
