27.04.2009
According to contract obligations Atomstroyexport has fulfilled delivery of high-pressure heaters (HPH) to Paksh NPP. The last lot of HPH was delivered to Hungary for the planned replacement of such equipment at Unit 2. The punctual delivery will allow Hungarian atomic scientists to replace HPH in accordance with the schedule of preventive maintenance at this Unit.
High-pressure heaters are one of the main types of nuclear power plant equipment. The contract on production and replacement of HPH was signed in 2003 as a result of the tender. Atomstroyexport and the Hungarian company “Transelectro” participated in the tender jointly. HPH replacement is carried out gradually at all the four Units of Paksh NPP.
In 2005-2007 such equipment was replaced at the first, third and fourth Units.
By now all 24 high-pressure heaters have been delivered to Paksh NPP under the contract. The HPH were manufactured by partners of Atomstroyexport IK ZIOMAR JSC and Machine-building plant ZIO-Podolsk JSC.
