The arrangements were held under the patronage of the National Commission on Nuclear Energy of SRV with participation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, Power Engineering Commission of SRV, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Natural Recourses and Environment of SRV. The ceremony of the exhibition opening was participated by the Co-chairman of the Russian part of the Russian-Vietnamese Coordination Committee on Nuclear Power Engineering - Director of the Science Politics Department of “Rosatom” State Corporation V.I. Rachkov. The largest companies of France, Japan, South Korea and China – the countries interested in close cooperation with Vietnam in nuclear power engineering, represented their expositions at the exhibition. Russian stand was visited by the leaders of National Ministries and Departments, the Communist Party of SRV, Government Office, several delegations of Deputies of SVR National Assembly, IAEA representatives. The Exhibition and the Forum were timed to Parliamentarian Session since Vietnam National Assembly at that period was passing a law on nuclear power engineering development in the country. Advanced Russian nuclear technologies arouse great interest from Vietnam audience and foreign participants of the exhibition. JSC Atomstroyexport exposition included video- and informational materials on different directions of the company’s activities abroad, on the projects under implementation, and on the company’s practical potential. Daily number of visitors exceeded 150 men. The problems of nuclear power engineering are seriously handled in SRV, what was proved at the Forum. Within the framework of the Forum the seminars took place, where the experts from different countries and international organizations exchanged their opinions on possible scenarios of Vietnam power engineering development. JSC Atomstroyexport representative told at the seminar about the company’s practical experience on construction of state-of-the-art safe NPP abroad and the peculiarities of necessary infrastructure establishment. The audience showed great interest in the perspectives of construction of Belene NPP in Bulgaria and in the completed project of Tianvan NPP fist phase in China, which collected a lot of unique innovations which distinctly increased the plant’s safety: reactor double containment withstanding all possible hypothetic impacts; core melting “catcher” stipulated for the emergency situation case and other innovation technologies. The Exhibition and the Forum in Hanoi provided practical possibilities for obtaining information about Vietnam power engineering market potential, its development tendencies, and for promotion of Russian nuclear technologies in the country, direct exchange of professional experience with Vietnam specialists in order to further develop Russian-Vietnam cooperation in the nuclear power engineering field.
