It is dedicated to electric power generation, transmission and distribution, and it is one of the biggest exhibitions in the Asian region.
Atomstroyexport JSC demonstrated its capabilities as a part of a unified topical exposition of Russia’s nuclear branch.
A considerable interest to the exposition of the company was aroused by the fact that Kudankulam NPP constructed in Tamil Nadu state with Atomstroyexport JSC participation is one of the largest projects of Russian – Indian cooperation. Kudankulam NPP first phase includes two power units with water-cooled water-moderated VVER type reactors, each of 1000 MW capacity. As of now 86% of equipment have been delivered to the Site, more than 98% of design documentation have been implemented. In February 2008 Federal Atomic Energy Agency (Rosatom) and Nuclear Power Corporation of India initialed the cooperation agreement on construction of 4 more power units at Kudankulam NPP Site, as well as on interaction at other Indian power facilities.
Representatives of more than 100 foreign companies, among which ABB, Alstom, Hitachi, Doosan, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Ansaldo, Skoda, as well as experts from Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Iran and other countries became familiar with an information stand and presentation of Atomstroyexport JSC.
Indian experts demonstrated increased attention to the activity of Atomstroyexport JSC. Representatives of numerous Indian companies – suppliers of power equipment for NPP, large energy companies, grids, engineering companies, state corporations, ministries and departments became acquainted with the results of Atomstroyexport JSC work both in India and in other countries. Greatest attention was expressed with regard to further development of bilateral cooperation between Russia and India in the field of nuclear power engineering.
