During SPR fuel reloading of reactor active zone was carried out with partial replacement of fuel assemblies used out. Scheduled preventive repair included large scope of works executed by Chinese and Russian specialists. Metal of the main reactor equipment was checked (reactor frame, main circulatory piping, heat-exchange pipes of steam generators), inspection of the main circulatory pipes, turbine, generator, capacitor, high pressure calorizator and other equipment of the first power generating unit was carried out. On the 3rd of March 2008 reactor unit was set on a minimum controlled capacity level (MCC). On the 12th of March turbine-type generator of the first unit was circuited. At present the unit is being set to nominal capacity. From the breaking-in of Tianwan NPP over 12,000,000 MW/h of electric power has been supplied to the electric main of the Chinese province Jiangsu. Reference General contract on construction of Tianwan NPP was concluded with Jiangsu nuclear energy corporation (JNPC) on the 29th of December 1997. The first stage of the plant consisted of two power generating units with reactor facilities VVER-1000 with electric capacity of 1000 МW each. Atomstroyexport acted as a general contractor and supplier. The first unit was handed over to the Chinese customer on the 2nd of June and the second unit on the 12th of September 2007. Over 150 Russian companies and organizations were engaged in works. Up to date Atomstroyexport is the only company with a real reference project of new generation NPP. Experts consider Tianwan NPP to be the safest in the world. On the 6th of November 2007 Principal Agreement on cooperation in two units construction of TNPP enlargement project was signed in Moscow in the presence of Russian and Chinese heads of governments. The Agreement was signed by the President of Atomstroyexport S.I. Shmatko and Director General of JNPC Jiang Guoyuan.
