Atomstroyexport managed to concentrate not only key competences of these two organizations, but also their immense experience in the foreign markets. Decision to establish a new company was taken in the moments difficult for the Russian economics and entailed by the need to promote Russian services in the world market of nuclear power during the transition of Russian industry to market relations. The first ten years of Atomstroyexport history are the years of continuous development and perfection of activities, strengthening of image and reputation of Russian nuclear power companies abroad. During ten years when executing its projects in the different countries Atomstroyexport was polishing its management system and developing new approaches in management of NPP constructions. As a result it was possible to change established stereotypes in management, to make company’s information politics open and financial systems more progressive and modern. In June 2007 the company undertook unprecedented step in the history of Russian nuclear industry, it issued and placed on a stock market its first bonded debt. By applying public instruments of the financial market in its activities, Atomstroyexport declared itself as a transparent and open company which had a direct impact on strengthening of Russian nuclear industry reputation. In 2008 the company was honoured with National EPCM Awards 2007 in engineering and project management on nomination “The best Russian EPC/EPCM company in the foreign markets”. All activities taken by Atomstroyexport are the result of unified strategy politics intended to strengthen positions of national mechanical engineering in the world market.
