In Lianyungang (CPR) due to completion of the guarantee maintenance of Unit 2 in NPP “Tianwan” negotiations between JSC “Atomstroyexport” and Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation (JNPC) have been held.
The parties signed a joint “Protocol of negotiations on final acceptance of Unit 2 of TNPP” according to which two-year period of guarantee maintenance of Unit 2 of Tianwan NPP is considered to be completed. The Protocol was signed from Russian side - by the first Vice President of JSC “Atomstroyexport” Alexander Nechaev, from Chinese side – by General Director of JNPC Jian Guoyuan.
Similar protocol of final acceptance of guarantee maintenance completion of Unit 1 has been signed in June this year.
Guarantee maintenance period has showed safe operation of the plant. Both power units of “Tianwan” NPP operate quite stable on the level of contract rated power at 1060MWt and have rather high technical-economical parameters. From the moment of start-up of the first two units the plant has worked out more than 30 billion kWt-hours of electric power. “Tianwan” NPP built under an improved Russian project is the safest power plant among the plants operating in CPR.
On the project:“Tianwan” NPP – is the largest project of economic cooperation between Russian Federation and Chinese People’s Republic. The first stage of “Tianwan” NPP was built under an Intergovernmental Agreement between RF and CPR on cooperation in construction of NPP in CPR. The Agreement was made on the 18th of December in 1992. General Contract on “Tianwan” NPP construction was signed by JSC “Atomstroyexport” and Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation in 1997. JSC “Atomstroyexport” was in charge of meeting obligations on NPP design, equipment and materials supply, construction and installation works, start-up of the plant, Chinese staff training.
The first stage of “Tianwan” NPP includes two power units with installations WMWCPR-1000 (water-moderated water-cooled power reactor). As the General Constructor, “Atomstroyexport” combined for project implementation more than 150 Russian plants and science organizations. Installation works in buildings of “nuclear island” were carried out by the Subcontractor – the 23d Chinese construction corporation of nuclear industry; part of equipment was also produced in CPR.
