JSC «Atomstroyexport» has presented Sofia school children with textbooks in the Russian language

In Sofia (Bulgaria) the pupils of the municipal secondary school № 133 named after Pushkin A.S were presented with textbooks in the Russian language. The Secondary school № 133 which specializes in learning of the Russian language from the 1st form is the only one in Sofia and one of the largest schools in Bulgaria the number of pupils of which is 1300. During the solemn event JSC “Atomstroyexport” was represented by the Vice-President of the Company, Head of Division for NPP construction in Bulgaria Gennadiy Tepkyan.
In his appeal to the pupils Gennadiy Tepkyan said that the textbooks given by the Russian Company should help in learning the Russian language and Russian culture. “Soon the children of our employees constructing NPP “Belene” will start learning Bulgarian – Gennadiy Tepkyan declared. Learning languages, history and culture of our countries will contribute to mutual understanding of our friendly nations”.
The textbooks for Bulgarian pupils were specially prepared and translated into the Russian language in accordance with all the requirements of the national school program and became the best present for a new school year which starts in the middle of September in Bulgaria.

The subsidiary of JSC “Atomstroyexport” in Belene came out as an initiator of the territory improvement around NPP under construction and Belene landscape gardening by planting 2000 transplants. In 2008 when Bulgaria solemnly celebrated its 130-anniversary of the Ottoman yoke liberation, “Atomstroyexport” became the general sponsor of establishing Scobelev’s monument in Plevene. The monument was set up as a tribute of the Russians and Bulgarians fight for Bulgaria liberation.
NPP “Belene” project:In 2005 a Tender for NPP “Belene” construction was announced. JSC “Atomstroyexport” won the Tender. On the 18th of January in 2008 in the presence of the President of Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and the President of Bulgaria, Georgiy Pyrvanov, a Contract Agreement for NPP “Belene” construction was signed between JSC “Atomstroyexport” and the National Electric Company of Bulgaria. The contract cost is 3,997 billion euro. The project suggested by JSC “Atomstroyexport” won the Tender due to higher safety level, extended lifetime of the main equipment (up to 60 years) and higher capacity factor (up to 90%).
In 2007 the Russian project was admitted to conform to EUR all technical requirements to NPP with Light Water Reactor (LWR) of new generation. Project Certification showed once again high safety and reliability level of the future NPP. The official opening of “Belene” plant site took place on the 3d of September in 2008. JSC “Atomstroyexport” carries out turn-key construction of “Belene” NPP that is on conditions of full responsibility of the General Contractor.
