Atomstroyexport JSC continues to deliver equipment to Kudankulam NPP being constructed under “AES-92” Russian design in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu

The 43rd lot of equipment of 1805 tons total weight has recently arrived at the port of Tuticorin, and at present equipment is transported to the Site. A week prior to arrival of this lot in India the next 44th lot of 1125 tons weight that is to arrive in Tuticorin in March was shipped from Saint-Petersburg. Atomstroyexport JSC shipped pipelines, pipeline valves, cable metalwork, heat insulation for the main circulation pipeline, as well as equipment of Instrumentation and Control and ventilation systems as a part of the 43rd vessel lot. These deliveries ensure performance of installation works at the start-up complex of Kudankulam NPP. The works on assembly and installation of the refueling machine manufactured by Uralmashzavod JSC are carried out in the central hall of the reactor building containment of Unit 1, preparatory works for transport hatch installation are under way. As far as installation is completed, pre-commissioning works are developed at a number of facilities of the start-up complex. Thus, voltage supply is implemented by permanent inlet to the systems of water chemical purification, works on testing of the isolation-control valves, pump equipment, control and automation facilities are extensively developed. Reference. Implementing the Intergovernmental Agreement, Atomstroyexport JSC carries out works for Kudankulam NPP construction in India. Elaboration of DPR and working documentation, designer supervision of construction of NPP buildings and structures within the scope of design, delivery of equipment and materials from Russia and third countries, technical support during NPP installation and commissioning, training of the operation and maintenance personnel in Russia are included in the scope of Atomstroyexport JSC obligations according to the signed contracts.
