On July 15, 2010 state specialized enterprise “Chernobylskaya NPP” by the results of tender procedures signed a contract with JSC Atomstroyexport, state corporation Rosatom and JSC Ukrenergomontazh (Ukraine) on the construction of a new ventilation pipe and the associated systems of stage II of Chernobylskaya NPP (power unit 3 shut down in 2000 and facility “Ukrytiye”).
This contract is included into the program of international technical assistance on transformation of facility “Ukrytiye” into an ecologically safe system financed with international fund “Ukrytiye” managed by EBRD.
The new ventilation pipe will be a metal tower of 50m height with gas exhaust shaft inside, d=6m and it will be mounted on the existed reinforced structure of the main building of stage II of Chernobylskaya NPP. The upper mark of the new ventilation pipe will be at the height of 125m. JSC Atomstroyexport plans to complete installation works of the new ventilation pipe until the end of 2011.

Atomstroyexport Company as a leader of consortium “Stabilization” successfully performs stabilization activities at “Ukrytiye” facility at Chernobylskaya NPP. The first contract within SIP program (Plan of activities at “Ukrytiye” facility) financed by international fund “Ukrytiye” was concluded by consortium in 2004. Main works under the contract were completed in December of 2006 according to the schedule. JSC Atomstroyexport became the only company worked at Chernobylskaya NPP which got the Certificate from the Customer confirming the high quality of the works performed.
On January 10, 2008 the contract between SSE “Chernobylskaya NPP” and Consortium “Stabilization” headed by JSC Atomstroyexport was signed on performing a complex of works to improve safety at “Ukrytiye” facility including light roofing repair. Safety improving works at “Ukrytiye” facility were completed in the beginning of August in 2008, a month earlier the scheduled date. On November 13, 2009 State Specialized Enterprise “Chernobylskaya NPP” issued to Consortium “Stabilization” with its leader of JSC Atomstroyexport the certificate on contract execution “Safety improving of “Ukrytiye” facility”. The management of Chernobylskaya NPP sent a letter to the president of JSC Atomstroyexport D.M.Belenkiy expressing gratitude for successful completion of works performed with high level of safety, proper quality and within the project budget. The director of international group of project management Mr. L. Dodd emphasized high qualification in planning and management demonstrated by JSC Atomstroyexport during the project realization.
