Consortium “Ukrytiye”, consisting of JSC «Atomstroyexport», a company of State Corporation «Rosatom», and Ukraine Enterprise «Ukrenergomontazh», has proceeded to carrying out the works on the Chernobyl NPP site relating to construction of the new chimney stack and corresponding associated systems of the II-nd ChNPP stage (Unit 3 and “Ukrytiye” facility).
Currently the project designing, approval of the designs with the customer and regulatory bodies, as well as arrangement of deliveries of the primary cargo crane to the construction site are being executed.
Simultaneously with the works on erection of the new chimney stack the works on cabling and installment of the light warning equipment, as well as of the system of the discharge radiation monitoring, will be carried out within Power Unit No. 3.
The contract between Consortium «Ukrytiye” and SSE «Chernobyl NPP» was signed in 2010 upon the international tender results. The mentioned contract, as well as all the previous ones, was concluded in the framework of the implementation of the SIP program (The plan for implementing activities for transforming facility «Ukrytiye” into an environmentally safe system). The Manager of Fund “Ukrytiye” is the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development.

At the end of Year 2006 “Atomstroyexport”, as the leader of Consortium “Stabilization», completed fulfillment of the obligations under the contract for implementing stabilization activities in “Ukrytiye” facility. The guarantee validity period, during which the Customer (SSE “Chernobyl NPP”) did not have any comments, expired in a year. In January, 2008 the following contract that includes a number of works on improving of “Ukrytiye” facility safety, including the repair of the light roof covering of the facility, was signed between Consortium “Stabilization” and SSE «Chernobyl NPP». At present time JSC “Atomstroyexport”, as the leader of Consortium “Ukrytiye”, is continuing to execute the works under project “Construction of fire fighting system in “Ukrytiye” facility.
