Tianwan NPP (Lianyungang, CPR) constructed by JSC Atomstroyexport under the State Corporation Rosatom is finishing the expiring year of 2010 with high power generation and safety parameters. At year-end TNPP will generate 15,7 billion KW/h of electricity that is 4,66% more than the set target and 11% more than power generation of 2009. Thus, last year NPP Tianwan produced 14,267 billion KW/h. With this the plan of 2010 11,36% exceeds the plan of 2009 (13,2 billion KW/h).
In 2010 power units 1 & 2 of Tianwan NPP operated steadily, on the level of the rated contract power of 1060MW without accidents and unplanned shutdowns.
ICUF (Installed Capacity Utilization Factor), the main characteristic of power units’ performance made 87,2% for unit 1 and 82,86% for unit 2. Moreover, there are significant reserves for further improvement of equipment operation and increase of power units efficiency.
The first stage of Tianwan NPP was constructed by JSC Atomstroyexport pursuant to the Intergovernmental agreement between the Russia and CPR on cooperation in power plant construction in CPR. Having put power units 1 & 2 of Tianwan NPP into guarantee commission to the Chinese customer Atomstroyexport, being the first one among the companies operating on the international market of NPP construction, built the power plant of new generation. In 2009 2-year guarantee commission of the power units was completed.
In August 2010 at Lianyungang Symposium of the participants of Tianwan NPP construction the Chinese party declared: a record on the duration of non-stop operation in the period of the first fuel cycle among the power plants operating in China has been achieved.
