On the 6th of June within the frames of International forum “ATOMEXPO 2011” a round table conference “Perspective projects on NPP construction under the Russian technologies” was held in which the representatives of JSC Atomstroyexport, the State Corporation Rosatom took part.
The purpose of round table conference was to discuss approaches to NPP construction under the Russian technologies abroad at the present stage. The leading experts implementing Russian-designed NPP construction projects in different countries of the world – deputy director general on development and international business of the State Corporation Rosatom, Kirill Komarov; the director of project Management programs within engineering activity of the State Corporation Rosatom, Sergey Boyarkin; the first Vice-President of JSC Atomstroyexport, Alexander Dybov; Vice-President-Head of Division for NPP construction in Bulgaria of JSC Atomstroyexport, Gennadiy Tepkyan; the general director of the project company for Akkuyu NPP (Turkey), Alexander Superfin; chief engineer of constructing NPP Directorate of Belarusian Republic, Anatoliy Bondar, and others took part in the discussion.
The participants spoke out in favor of the initiative declared by the Russian President, Dmitry Medvedev, at G8 meeting in Deville, on strengthening of the role of IAEA and state authorities in providing safety of the global power engineering.
The first Vice-President of JSC Atomstroyexport, Alexander Dybov, made a report on NPP Khmelnitskaya project implementation, units 3 and 4 (Ukraine). A contract agreement between NAEC Energoatom and JSC Atomstroyexport was signed for technical project development of B-392 project VVER-100 reactor facilities and for supply of the reactor facilities equipment for Khmelnitskaya NPP, power units 3&4. According to Alexander Dybov the significance of the second stage of Khmelnitskaya NPP for further economic development of the Ukraine is impossible to be overestimated. The plant will make up electricity shortage in the country and allow exporting it, which is, no doubt, will improve trade balance. Alexander Dybov informed that the next step would be concluding a contract for development of reactor facilities technical project. The draft contract preparation on the part of JSC Atomstroyexport is already in process.
The Vice-President – Head of Division for NPP construction in Bulgaria of JSC Atomstroyexport, Gennadiy Tepkyan, made a report on Belene NPP construction project. Gennadiy Tepkyan stressed the improved safety systems of a new Bulgarian NPP, its seismic stability as well as environmental, economical and social aspects of Belene power plant construction in Bulgaria. According to Gennadiy Tepkyan the project is unique due to a number of its characteristics. 30% of the total volume of works on Belene NPP construction will be performed by the Bulgarian companies. New working places will be created: more than 10 000 working places on site and outside of it. It is planned to create a training system for Bulgarian NPP specialists. In Belene town it is planned to open the “Atomic University”- the first foreign training centre for specialists in the field of power engineering.
Gennadiy Tepkyan also underlined an international nature of the project to be implemented. Large volumes of equipment supplies for NPP are projected to carry out from Bulgaria, Western and Eastern European countries that allows speaking on the European level of Belene NPP project.
