JSC Atomstroyexport has taken part in Forum “ATOMEX Europe”

In October 25-26, 2011 JSC Atomstroyexport, a company of the State Corporation Rosatom, took part in the atomic industry suppliers Forum “ATOMEX Europe” held in Prague, Czech Republic. The organizer of the Forum is the State Corporation Rosatom in cooperation with “Atomexpo”, the Center of information and exhibition activities of atomic industry.

The main purpose of the Forum – attraction of new foreign suppliers for NPP construction under the Russian technologies in Russia and abroad, quality improvement of supplied products and services, optimization of investment resources.

Large-scale NPP construction within the country and abroad brings up an issue of increasing a number of European partners the Russian atomic industry is in cooperation with. “Up to 2030 Rosatom plans to purchase for the needs of the atomic industry products and services to the amount of more than 300 bln. Dollars” – stated the General director of the State Corporation Rosatom, Sergey Kirienko, in his opening speech to the Forum’s participants.

On the part of the Russian customers, the top managers of the key industry companies of the State Corporation Rosatom took part in the Forum including the management representatives of JSC Atomstroyexport – the President of the company, Alexander Glukhov, the Vice-president – Head of division for NPP construction in Bulgaria, Gennadiy Tepkyan, the Vice-president – Head of division for NPP construction in India, Andrey Lebedev, and others.

The report of the President of JSC Atomstroyexport, Alexander Glukhov, was devoted to the issues of international cooperation in NPP construction. For the projects of NPP construction in China, India, Iran and Bulgaria VVER-1000 reactors were used. According to Alexander Glukhov the Russian projects take into account the possibility of equipment integration to the Customer’s requirements and in full scope comply with the most strict safety standards.

- The project with VVER reactor for NPP construction on Temelin site has a wide range of opportunities for local companies concerning all the project’s aspects: consulting, engineering, construction works, equipment supplies and rendering services for nuclear island, turbine island and non-atomic part of the plant - Alexander Glukhov informed. According to him the level of localization might reach up to 70%.

The Vice-president of JSC ASE Gennadiy Tepkyan reported on Belene NPP construction project as an actual example of international cooperation in the atomic power engineering. Implementation of Belene NPP project is being carried out with participation of the leading world companies including JSC Atomenergoproject, JSC OKB Gydropress, SRC Kurchatovskiy institute, JSC Power machines, JSC Tvel, JSC Izhora, JSC Atomtechenergo, Areva NP, Siemens AG, Nukem Technologies, GNS.

During the period of two years the leading experts from Bulgaria, Russia, Germany, USA, Great Britain, RSA as well as IAEA have been involved in the Russian project investigation. The conducted multiparameter analysis and the obtained expert evaluation confirm that Belene NPP project complies with all international safety rules and standards and refers to III+, a new generation of nuclear power plants, – Gennadiy Tepkyan informed.

On the project implementation a large scope of equipment supplies for Belene NPP is planned to be carried out from Bulgaria, Eastern Europe countries and the European Union.
