NIAEP – ASE participates in the International exhibition Power-Gen India & Central Asia 2012

NIAEP – ASE is participating in the International exhibition “Power-Gen India & Central Asia 2012” which is held on 19th to 21st April in New Delhi (India). The organizer of the event – the company PennWell – annually holds a series of power-focused exhibitions and conferences in various regions of the world. The forum in New Delhi is the most representative power expo event in the Asian region. The event is supported by Government of India: Ministry of power, Ministry of heavy industry, Planning energy commission of the government, State power and finance corporation and state enterprises of India. At the exhibition a stand of the state corporation Rosatom is arranged to host and showcase the capabilities of such companies as NIAEP-ASE, TVEL, Atomenergoprom, Atomenergoproekt, Atomenergomash etc. The NIAEP – ASE exposition arouses great interest of the viewers. It is due to preparation for commissioning of Kudankulam NPP units 1 and 2 and launch of construction of Kudankulam NPP units 3 and 4. Representatives of the Indian authorities took part in the opening ceremony. Mr. Shri K. C. Venugopal – deputy minister of energy of India – said welcoming words underlining the importance of development of all sorts of energy in India, including nuclear power. On the first day of the exhibition many viewers visited the NIAEP – ASE stand. Among them were representatives of foreign companies, power experts, managers of the power sector of India including from the planning energy commission of the government of India, specialists of Kudankulam NPP and also from Skoda Power, Larsen&Tubro, Siemens, Hora Regelarmaturen, Thermax Limited, Torishima Global Team, Timken India Limited, Lanco Infratech Limited, Shouhang Resources Saving Co Ltd, Bohai Heavy Industry Pipeline Co Ltd, Ansaldo Caldaie, Circor Flow Technologies, General Instruments Consortium, Allied International S.R.L., Brandme Associate SDN BHD, Zhejiang Gross Seamless Steel Tube, Hi-Tech Systems & Services Ltd, Lloyd Insulations Ltd etc. The specialists are interested in Russian NPP construction experience in Russia and abroad. The viewers learn about the cutting edge experience of NIAEP related to management improvement, including the NPP life cycle management technology. “Participation of NIAEP – ASE in the exhibition will help the company to strengthen its position in the world nuclear power market”, - assured Gennady Tepkyan, NIAEP deputy director – director of department of long-term projects. In 2012 the Asian exhibition “Power-Gen India & Central Asia 2012” is arranged in six halls of the largest expo center in New Delhi and has become the second event in the world after the European one in terms of the exhibition areas and the number of exhibitors. This year 1222 power companies from all over the world are presenting their developments; the biggest players of the energy market are among them: ABB, Alstom, Ansaldo, Babcock, Doosan Exxon Mobile, Hitachi, Honeywell, MAN, Mitsubishi, Rolls-Royce, Siemens, Tyssen, Toshiba, Wartsilla, Škoda, as well as the biggest energy companies of China, India, South Korea and other countries of the Asian region.

The merged company JSC NIAEP – JSC Atomstroyexport (ASE) was established in March 2012 by the resolution of the State atomic energy corporation Rosatom. Thus, NIAEP has become a holding company JSC ASE.
