The Rosenergoatom management delegation, headed by E. Romanov, general director, came to Nizhny Novgorod mainly to take part in the meeting of the Nizhny Novgorod -1 NPP construction project control panel where they discussed the issue of adapting the plant project to the VVER-TOI basic design. The meeting was also attended by Valery Limarenko, NIAEP director, Vladimir Ivanov, vice-governor and first deputy chairman of Nizhny Novgorod Regional government, some ministers of the regional government and representatives of the local administration of Navashino Region. During the visit there was also a meeting with the NIAEP management dedicated to the issue of life cycle management of complex construction projects. NIAEP specialists showed to the colleagues from the group company the innovative design techniques and construction and cost management systems for complex projects. Evgeny Romanov commented on the visit, “This is my first visit to the NIAEP office in Nizhny Novgorod. I have found a modern design company successfully deploying advanced technologies. The company is competent in engineering which has been proved by Rostov-2 and Kalinin-4 commissioning. I have had a very good impression”.
