Convened the Ceremony of the «First Grouting» on Tianwan NPP Unit 3 (China)

On December 27, 2012 in the China People ' s Republic , Lianyungang convened the ceremony of «first grouting» on Tianwan NPP Unit 3 foundation , signifying start of construction works on the second stage of the NPP.
China 's Customer party on the ceremony was represented by top management of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) and Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation (JNPC), as well as by a representative of Europe and Asia Department MIA of CPR.
The Russia delegation was headed by First Deputy General Director of State Corporation Rosatom Alexander Lokshin.
General Contractor of Tianwan NPP Unit 3&4 Nuclear Islands was represented by Alexander Nechaev, First Vice-President of JSC Atomstroyexport, and Yury Ivanov, JSC NIAEP Vice-President of Projects in the Eastern and South-Eastern Asia.
From the Russian party on a solemn ceremony also participated minister counselor of the Russian Embassy in China, General Consul of Russia in Shanghai, representatives of the State Corporation Rosatom in China, the top management of JSC SPbAEP, JSC TVEL, JSC EDB Hydropress, Representative offices of JSC Concern Rosenergoatom in Lianyungang.
In the words of Yury Ivanov, this is an event that gave a start to actual construction of TNPP stage 2, and that will undoubtedly become a landmark in the history of Russian and Chinese partnership in nuclear energy.
Before the ceremony of the first grouting , the Russian delegation convened a meeting with CNNC and JNPC top management, where further cooperation on TNPP Unit 3&4 construction was discussed.

TNPP is the hugest object of economical cooperation of China and Russia . Construction of TNPP Unit 1&2 was executed by JSC Atomstroyexport (JSC ASE) in compliance with Russian-Chinese Intergovernmental Agreement signed in 1992. In 2007, the first stage of TNPP- Units 1&2 (with installed capacity 1600 MW) was handed over for commission to the Customer (JNPC corporation), and the nuclear power plant was commissioned for warranty operation, the duration of which proved its safety and robustness. Signing of General Contract of Tianwan NPP stage 2 constructions (Units 3&4 with capacity 1060 MW) by JSC ASE and jointly JNPC, CNPE, CNEIC happened on November 23, 2010. In August , 2011 China and Russia confirmed its entry into force. On December 19, 2010 State Counsel of China approved launch of construction works on Units 3&4. After that National Authority of China 's Nuclear Security licensed construction of TNPP Units 3&4.
The merged company JSC NIAEP – JSC Atomstroyexport (ASE) was established in March 2012 by the resolution of the State atomic energy corporation Rosatom. Thus, NIAEP has become a holding company JSC ASE.
The leading engineering company is currently designing over 20 units, has 5 branches in Russia and 14 representative offices in Europe and Asia .
