TNPP is the biggest project in economic cooperation between People’s Republic of China and Russian Federation. In accordance with the Russian – Chinese intergovernmental agreement, signed in 1992, JSC ASE was in charge of Tianwan NPP 1&2 construction project. In 2007 the first two power units of TNPP (2x1060 MW) were handed over to the Customer (JNPC), and the power plant was commissioned, the warranty period proving its safe and reliable performance. On 23rd November 2010 JSC Atomstroyexport and the Chinese companies JNPC, CNPE and CNEIC signed the general contract for construction of Tianwan NPP second phase (power units 3&4, 1060 MW per unit). In August 2011 China and Russia confirmed commencement of the contract.
