Nuclear Engineering Cluster Set up in the Nizhny Novgorod Region

A memorandum of creation of the nuclear engineering cluster of the Nizhny Novgorod Region was signed at the 2nd International Research and Practice Forum “Life Cycle Management of Complex Engineering Projects. Development of Competitive Construction Technologies” in Nizhny Novgorod on 14th June 2012.30 enterprises of the Nizhny Novgorod and Vladimir Regions have signed the memorandum. The cluster includes industrial enterprises, research and educational institutions, transport and construction companies. Vladimir Nefedov, Minister of Industry and innovations, noted that the nuclear engineering cluster has a great significance for development of the economy of the region. Its activities will allow development of innovative technologies and will enhance competitiveness of every enterprise and its products. The goals of the cluster include:
improvement of design, engineering, arrangement and construction solutions for nuclear power plants both under design or construction;
