On 6th June, 2012, a regular public information day was held in NIAEP-ASE. The event involved over 200 employees of the central office and also, by means of videoconferencing, managers of the branches and representative offices in Moscow, St-Petersburg, Volgodonsk, Udomlya, Yuzhnouralsk and Astroviec.
The audience watched the address of S.V. Kirienko General Director of Rosatom. Then Valery Limarenko, NIAEP-ASE director, presented to the audience the first results of the activities of the consolidated company and talked about the development prospects. According to Valery Limarenko consolidation is going smoothly. Today NIAEP – ASE is designing and constructing 20 power units in Russia and abroad. For 2012 it is scheduled to commission Bushehr NPP-1 (Iran), Kudankulam NPP-1 (India) and to put Kalinin NPP-4 into commercial operation. The consolidated company employs (together with its subsidiaries) 7072 people, whose average age is 40,9 years. The team is growing younger –222 young specialists were recruited in 2011, over 100 people are planned to be employed in the current year.
“I am proud to mention that in 2010-2011 our 520 emploees were honored with different awards including state awards; now documents are prepared for awarding about another 70 people. The people work devotedly, these awards are well-deserved”, Valery Limarenko emphasized.
Then the director and deputy directors of the company gave answers to the questions raised on the company’s business activities and social policy.
According to the comments of the attendees the public information day is a successful and democratic way for communication between the management and the personnel:
- It is a good opportunity to put one’s question directly and to have an answer back – so called, face-to-face communication. I believe such type of communication is beneficial for the both sides, commented Elena Kotchergina, head of the trade union committee.
