Scientific and practical workshop "Pilot operation pre-commissioning of power unit construction management system (Multi-D technologies)” was held in JSC NIAEP

The workshop held in Nizhni Novgorod on 1st-2nd March 2012 was arranged by the BCD-4 Multi-D methodology department specialists within the limits of accomplishment of “VVER-TOI” Project map – “Development and adoption of the power unit construction management system (Multi-D technology)”. About 70 specialists engaged into “VVER-TOI” Project – employees of the JSC “NIAEP” central office and branches, representatives of SC “Rosatom”, JSC “Concern Rosenergoatom”, JSC “Atomenergoproekt”, JSC “Atomtehenergo” and contract organizations – participated in the workshop. The first day of the workshop was devoted to the key principles of construction-and-erection works’ Multi-D modeling and to demonstration of the construction management system based on Dassault System software. During the next day Integraph software used for implementation of Multi-D technology was presented. Also the conference was arranged where issues of development and operation of the system were discussed. The workshop was finished to set further tasks for the team of pilot operation of power unit construction management system based on Muliti-D. In course of the workshop multi-D modeling of NPP power units construction and the problems connected with it were discussed and online operation of the software was demonstrated. Interest of the participants in MultD modeling has proved innovation and urgency of the given theme for the nuclear industry specialists. For your information, Multi-D is an integrated system of complex engineering object construction management based on technology of effective engineering object construction management. The complete scopes of material resources: tones of pipes, square meters of vent skips, cubic meters of concrete – are defined on the basis of a 3D-model of an object. These data together with current work output codes and standards of labour productivity constitute the basis of schedule formation and resource/time requirements. JSC “NIAEP” is the recognized leader of Multi-D development and application in Russia, and this fact is considered to be one of the main competitive advantages of NIAEP both on domestic and world market. On the basis of this technology the life cycle management system (LCMS) not only of Russian design NPP but of difficult engineering objects is formed. LCMS will be used for the first time for NPP creation based on new generation power units VVER-TOI.
