OJSC NIAEP – CJSC Atomstroyexport participated in the VI International Forum AtomEco-2012

United Company OJSC NIAEP – CJSC Atomstroyexport (CJSC ASE) participated in the VI International Exhibition and Conference AtomEco-2012 which were held on October 16-17, 2012 in Moscow at the site of Business Center Radisson Slavyanskaya. The organizer of the forum is State Corporation Rosatom.
AtomEco-2012 was participated by leading Russian and international enterprises and organizations, representatives of government authorities for atomic energy use, supervisory bodies, foreign corporations, scientific and research institutes of Russian Academy of Science, representatives of CIS countries and IAEA which deal with issues related to decommissioning of nuclear and radiation-hazardous facilities, RAW and SNF management.
The forum framework included topical sectional meetings, round tables, a separate conference for decommissioning the nuclear and radiation-hazardous facilities, as well as remediation of nuclear “heritage” facilities - “Decommissioning-2012”. Deputy Head of Division for SNF and RAW Management of Moscow Branch of United Company OJSC NIAEP – CJSC Atomstroyexport Tatyana Makarchuk made a report at the conference, in which she presented projects of NIAEP-ASE implemented within the framework of programs for decommissioning the nuclear radiation-hazardous facilities. In particular, she spoke about commissioning the installation for treatment of liquid radioactive waste designed within the framework of the program for decommissioning Kozloduy NPP Units 1-4 in Bulgaria, about construction of facilities for treatment and storage of RAW at FGUP PO Mayak within the framework of Federal Target Program “Nuclear and radiation safety ensuring for 2008 and for the period up to 2015”.Tatiana Makarchuk also spoke in details about participation of NIAEP-ASE in implementation of the project for decommissioning the former Naval Fleet base located in the Andreeva Bay.
The forum has been held for the sixth time already, and traditionally it becomes a site for discussing the issues of international cooperation in the field of problems related to RAW and SNF management, decommissioning the nuclear and radiation-hazardous facilities.

United Company OJSC NIAEP – CJSC ASE expands its competences in accordance with its customers’ requirements of current importance. The company owes 100% shares of NUKEM Technologies GmbH – a German engineering company specializing in rendering services for RAW and SNF management, as well as decommissioning the nuclear and radiation-hazardous facilities. Since 2010 the company has been participating in implementation of the project for decommissioning the former military facility of Naval Fleet of Russia “Andreeva Bay”. The works for the fire protection system construction and commissioning have been completed, implementation of the project “Construction of a new vent stack and accompanying systems of Chernobyl NPP phase II» is in progress. Construction and installation of facilities at FGUP PO Mayak (Russia) is actively performed. In November 2012 the installation for LRW treatment at Kozloduy NPP (Bulgaria) will be commissioned. The works for commissioning the LRW treatment facility for Kudankulam NPP Units 1&2 (India) are in progress.
