The Czech-Russian consortium MIR.1200 establishes a company Nuclear Power Alliance

The consortium MIR.1200 has established a company "Nuclear Power Alliance a.s" which, in case if the bid wins, will be responsible for coordinating the preparation and subsequent implementation of the Temelin NPP completion project in Czechia.
Jozef Perlik, the chairman of the new company and also the director of the Temelin completion project in SKODA JS, the Consortium's leader, announced the news on 18 th June. The legal form of Nuclear Power Alliance a.s. is a joint-stock company established in accordance with the Czech legislation.
The company's main shareholders are members of the Consortium, i.e. SKODA JS, together with ROSATOM subsidiaries JSC Atomstroyexport (ASE) and JSC OKB GIDROPRESS. They will have the following shares in the new company: JSC Atomstroyexport –51%, SKODA JS – 34%, and JSC OKB GIDROPRESS – 15%.
Nuclear Power Alliance will be based in Prague . At the initial stage the company's staff will be around 100 Czech and Russian specialists, while in case the project of the Consortium is selected, in the subsequent stages of the project the company's staff will be gradually expanded.
The group of experts will begin work at the Temelin NPP construction site. At the second stage of project implementation, during which the 3d and 4 th Temelin power units will be constructed, it is assumed that 90% of the company's staff will be located at the Temelin NPP site. At the most intensive stage of the works the company's staff will amount to 400 specialists responsible for managing the project implementation.
If MIR.1200 project is selected in the tender, Nuclear Power Alliance on behalf of the Consortium will cooperate with nearly 350 leading Czech, Slovak, Russian, and other European companies within the Temelin completion project.
Moreover, at the event dedicated to the establishment of Nuclear Power Alliance, Consortium MIR.1200 signed preliminary agreements with three major Czech companies - Sigma Group, ZVVZ Enven Engineering and OSC. Under these agreements the Parties agreed on cooperation in case if the Consortium wins in the tender for Temelin NPP completion.
Similar agreements were signed earlier with six other Czech companies - SKODA JS, Hochtief, PSG International, ZAT, UJV Rez and I & C Energo. These agreements specify in detail the terms and conditions of cooperation between the companies and Consortium MIR.1200 in case the latter wins in the tender.
Reference: In 2011 CJSC ASE being part of the Czech-Russsian Consortium MIR.120 successfully passed the pre-qualification stage in the tender for the Temelin NPP completion project in Czechia (construction of the 3d and 4 th power units).
On 31.10.2011 CJSC ASE received from the Customer (ČEZ a.s.) the bid invitation documentation for the Temelin completion project (units 3 and 4). At the present moment an appropriate bid is being prepared.
A mutual cooperation agreement is signed and effected between the members of the Consortium and the Mining School – Technical University of Ostrava . During the year a series of events were held as part of the Consortium's pre-bidding activities. A memorandum on establishing a production and trade association “ Prague Atomic Alliance ” was signed.
Since 2012 the project has been carried out by the efforts of NIAEP – ASE.

02-03.07.2012 the bid is handed over to ČEZ a.s. The bid is disclosed.
24.08 - 13.11.2012 – 199 replies are prepared to answer the Customer's questions.
03-08.2013 – Consultative meetings with the Customer (review of the design).
