14.06.2013
The 3d International Research and Practice Forum Multi-D “Complex Facility Life Cycle Management. Operation Support Tools” was held in Moscow on 13th -14th June 2013.
The merged company JSC NIAEP – JSC Atomstroyexport, an enterprise of the State Corporation Rosatom, was the main organizer of the event.
It is a logical continuation of the two previous forums held in 2011 and 2012 in Nizhny Novgorod developing the concept of life cycle management of complex facilities – starting from the design of a future NPP and ending with its decommissioning. In 2011 focus was laid on development of one information space for designing, in 2012 it was development of one information space for construction and the main topic in 2013 is development of one information space for operation of complex facilities.
Over 500 specialists of Russian and foreign companies of nuclear power, construction, oil and gas and other industries that develop life cycle management systems are taking part in the Forum coming from 19 countries of the world: Russia, Belorus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, France, Czechia, Sweden, Germany, India, Vietnam, Japan, the USA, Switzerland, Korea, Spain, Slovakia, Denmark, Finland, RSA and Great Britain.
Among the participants of the forum there were such companies as the State Corporation Rosatom, the group company Rosenergoatom, JSC Atomenergoproekt, JSC “Afrikantov OKBM”, the RFNC VNIIEF, “Sedakov NIIIS”, JSC VNIIAES, JSC Inter RAO EES, JSC Kazakhstan-Russian company “Atomic stations”, “Liebherr-Russland”, Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation of China (JNPC), ALSTOM, AREVA, SKODA JS a.s., Toshiba Corporation, DASSAULT Systemes, Intergraph PP&М, Construction Corporation N 1 (Vietnam), Tecnicas Reunidas, Broad Group (China), EdF, FCG Finnish Consulting Group Ltd, IBS, Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd, Rolls Royce plc etc.
According to Ivan Borisov, vice-president of NIAEP development, at this forum as well as at the two previous ones the organizers did not confine the topic to the nuclear area only. Representatives from other industries could demonstrate their results. By the way as part of diversification the merged company NIAEP-ASE is actively developing projects beyond the nuclear area comparable in their scale and complexity level with nuclear power plants.
During the two days, 13th and 14th June, the specialists discussed modern developments in the complex facility operation management, engineering tools and also the solutions of data communication between the design/construction and operation stages.
During the forum the innovative projects implemented at JSC NIAEP and other companies of the State Corporation Rosatom were presented, in particular, these included workshops: “Efficient construction. Implementation of the Rosatom production system in nuclear construction projects. Achievements. Plans for further developments”, “Use of the Equipment catalogue in Designing”, “Information technologies from design to operation”, “Customer’s position in NPP life cycle management at the NPP design and construction stage in Russia and abroad. Change management. Configuration management. Requirements management. Cost management”, “Cost management experience in nuclear construction. Construction abroad. Plans for further development”.
The workshop “VVER TOI project. Its technical and economical characteristics. Safety Concept” was one of the key events of the Forum. This project was also addressed at a workshop organized at the nuclear machine building fair held as part of the forum. At the workshop the participants obtained information on the basic selection criteria for suppliers for the VVER TOI-based projects. According to the Vice-President of JSC NIAEP project management, Alexander Polushkin, the VVER TOI design is a standard VVER technology-based design of NPP with optimized and informatized power unit of large capacity able to successfully compete on the world market. The design is implemented with modern software tools enabling to manage information during the entire life cycle of the power unit.
The leaders of the industry took part in development of the VVER TOI design including JSC NIAEP which together with Alstom designed the conventional island.
Traditionally as part of the International Research and Practice Forum Multi-D the Nuclear machine building fair was held.
The following biggest Russian and foreign enterprises, equipment and materials suppliers for nuclear construction projects, participated in the VII Nuclear machine building fair: JSC “Izhrskye zavody”, JSC “Atomenergomash”, JSC “Elektrozavod”, JSC “Tyazhmash”, JSC “ZiO-Podolsk”, JSC “OKB Gidropress”, JSC “Power machines”, JSC “AEM-technologies”, JSC “KTsKBA”, Splav corporation, JSC “ChEAZ”, “Promenergokomplekt”, “Liebherr – Russland”, CJSC “Kramaks”, CJSC “Energomash” (Belgorod) – BZEM”, CJSC “Gidromashservice", JSC “OMZ”, Kozlov Plant (Belarus), Venta, Profenergoremstroy and Nami-T. so NIAEP maintains the policy of informational openness with suppliers of equipment and materials.
The significant events of the first day of the Forum were that three memoranda of understanding and cooperation were signed between JSC NIAEP and DASSAULT Systemes, JSC NIAEP and Intergraph PP&М, and also between JSC NIAEP and JSC NEOLANT. These are the companies with which NIAEP is developing the complex facility life cycle management technologies.
Following the activities of the forum, at an official ceremony, diplomas were granted for successful implementation of advanced technologies in the design, construction and operation of complex facilities. Four organizations were awarded with the 3d International Research and Practice Forum Multi-D “Complex Facility Life Cycle Management. Operation Support Tools” Diplomas.
"Electricite de France (France) the world's largest NPP operator, supplier of 80 % electricity in France was honored with the diploma for active development of the configuration management technology in nuclear power plant operation".
The group company Rosenergoatom was awarded with the diploma for successful application of modern designing technologies in development of VVER-TOI.
Corporation Broad Group (China) received the diploma "For successful application of modular technologies in high-rise construction”. The Chinese Corporation is known for its unique projects where 30-storey buildings are built in 15 days.
The company "TechInvestLab.ru" was awarded with the diploma “For popularization and promotion of the system engineering methodology in Russia”, the company being, in its essence, a pioneer of the Russian system engineering.
Two more certificates were awarded following the results of work of the VII International Fair of nuclear mechanical engineering, which is part of the forum.
Diploma for "For the best production capacity” was awarded to JSC “Atomenergomash”. “For innovation” went to CJSC «Cheboksary electrical equipment plant".
Closing the 3d International Research and Practice Forum Multi-D “Complex Facility Life Cycle Management. Operation Support Tools” Valery Limarenko, NIAEP president, noted that “The forum was a success thanks to the participants interested in the topic: complex facility life cycle management. Thanks to the specialists who build their business on it and deal with it in a creative way; they are a force for progress.
Both workshops and panel discussions of the forum were a success. We are growing together, developing relevant issues and their elements.
Our next forum will be dedicated to decommissioning of a nuclear plant or a facility. This day next year we will meet again and will rejoice at new victories”.
On the eve of the forum, on 12th June, NIAEP provided a unique opportunity for foreign delegations and reporters to visit the Rostov NPP 3&4 construction site where they saw how the information system worked on the construction site.
