Reactor vessel for Rostov NPP power unit 4 reached the site

On the 21-st of June, at 15:00, reactor vessel for Rostov NPP power unit 4 was delivered to the site incoming inspection area (Geneeral Contractor - NIAEP/ASE). The reactor vessel (weight - 322 t, length - 11 m, width - 5,6 m, height - 5,7 m) belongs to the primary equipment of the nuclear power plant unit.

The reactor vessel shipment from the manufacturing plant (OAO Izhorskie Zavody, Saint Petersburg) to Volgodonsk started on May 26, by sailing down the Neva river, lakes of Ladoga and Onega, the Volga-Baltic route, and, finally, the Volga and Don rivers. On the 18-th of June, the reactor vessel arrived at Volgodonsk to the special-purpose offloading facility of ZAO AEM-Tekhnologii Atommash (a company of the State Corporarion Rosatom). The large-sized equipment delivery was arranged upon conformance with all requirements of industrial and ecological safety.
