Alexey Deriy takes charge of Rooppur NPP construction project

Alexey Deriy has been appointed Vice-President - Director for Rooppur NPP construction project of JSC ASE. Previously he was the Head of Kursk NPP construction Project.

Introducing Alexey Deriy in his new capacity, Alexandr Lokshin, President of ASE EC JSC - First Deputy Director General for Operations Management of Rosatom State Corporation, pointed out that the experience and competences of Alexey Deriy that he had acquired during the construction of Kursk NPP and other nuclear facilities will prove useful during the implementation of the priority construction project in the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Mr. Lokshin also thanked Sergey Lastochkin who had been in charge of Rooppur NPP Project, for accomplishing all the assigned tasks and making a significant contribution to the development of the nuclear industry.

Oleg Shperle, previously in charge of Novovoronezh NPP Project has been appointed Vice President - Director for Kursk NPP construction Project of ASE EC JSC.

Alexey Vladimirovich Deriy was born on March 4, 1980 in Novovoronezh. He graduated from South-Russian State Polytechnic University. Mr. Deriy began his professional career in FSUE Novovoronezh branch of “Atomtechenergo Firm”. Later he worked in JSC Atomstroyexport as Deputy Head of directorate for I&C and Deputy Head of directorate for NPP construction in Iran. In 2013, Mr Deriy took over the Hanhikivi NPP construction Project, and in 2014 - the Project in Iran; from 2018 to 2021 Mr. Deriy was Vice-President - Director for Kursk NPP construction Project. Mr. Deriy was awarded medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland (2nd degree), honorable distinctions “For contribution to the nuclear industry” (2nd and 3rd degree), medal “Participant of construction of power unit No 4 of Rostov NPP” and industry Certificates of Appreciation.



Oleg Nikodimovich Shperle was born on September 15, 1959 in Kazakhstan. He graduated from Kharkov Engineering and Pedagogical University. After doing his military service, Mr. Shperle began his professional career at Krivoy Rog GRES-2 as inspection engineer. Later he worked at Khmelnitsky, Balakovo and Rostov NPPs. In 2013 Mr. Shperle was appointed Vice President of NIAEP for Projects in North-West of Russia and CIS, in 2015 - for Kursk and Smolensk NPPs, and in 2017 - Vice President of ASE EC JSC. In 2018, Mr. Shperle was appointed Vice President - Director for Voronezh NPP construction Project. Mr. Shperle was awarded with medal “For Distinguished Labor” (1st degree), Order of Merit for the Fatherland (2nd degree), honorable distinctions “For Contribution to the Nuclear Industry” (2nd and 3rd degree), insignia “Academician I.V. Kurchatov” (4th and 3d degree), medal of Rosenergoatom JSC “For Contribution to Enhancing NPP Safety”, insignia of Rostov NPP, service medal “Participant of Construction of Unit No 1 of Novovoronezh NPP-2”, state and industry Certificates of Appreciation. Mr. Shperle is winner of industry competition “Person of the Year of Rosatom” of 2016, he is veteran of the nuclear industry.
