Mr. Alexander Lokshin, President of ASE EC JSC and First Deputy Director General for Operations Management of Rosatom State Corporation visited Rooppur NPP construction site (Bangladesh). In the course of the business trip, Mr. Lokshin assessed the progress of the construction of the nuclear power plant, visited the Green City residential settlement and held a meeting with employees of the Engineering Division in the Public Counseling Office of the President of JSC ASE EC, which opened in November last year.
The participants of the meeting were interested in issues related to the provision of work clothes, the development of sports infrastructure, and vaccination. The Head of the Engineering Division answered all the questions. In particular, he supported the initiative of the team on the development of sports. Sports activity team has already been formed at site, and a sports complex is being installed ahead of schedule in the residential settlement for construction employees. In spring, the sports contest will be held among all subcontractors of the Project.
In 4.5 months of functioning of the Public Counseling Office, the personnel submitted 84 requests, 80% of which have already been resolved, the rest are under consideration. Responses to requests are published in monthly digest editions or sent to the authors by e-mail. Mr. Alexander Lokshin evaluated the functions of the Public Counseling Office in a positive manner and thanked the participants and organizers of the "President’s Public Counseling Office” Project for personal involvement, transparency and willingness to participate in the course of improvement of the conditions for the employees at site.
According to Mrs. Natalia Shafalovich, Vice-President for Personnel and Internal Communications of ASE EC JSC, the development and application of effective feedback tools does not only increase the level of trust within a single team at site, but also enhances the efficiency of interaction with personnel and allows to quickly and accurately assess the state of the social climate and involvement of each department. "There is a culture of transparency in the Engineering Division, and in particular at Rooppur NPP construction site. Employees do not hush up hot topics, and this is supported by the management. More than half of the issues have already been settled, which confirms trust and effectiveness of the relationship in our team, " she said.
