Program of assessment and training of working personnel prior to their departure to foreign construction sites, has been launched in the Engineering Division

A comprehensive program for assessment of the level of qualification and skills of the construction and erection personnel was launched on 25 February. The program will be implemented in the observation facility arranged in Ershovo Park Hotel in the Moscow region. All the employees of Atomstroyexport undergo compulsory quarantine prior to their departure to construction sites abroad. The program was developed by experts of HR management unit of JSC ASE (Rosatom Corporation Engineering Division) jointly with representatives of subsidiary construction companies.
To evaluate the level of professional skills of welders, thermal installation specialists, assemblers of reinforced concrete structures, the facilities provided by Ershovo Part Hotel were equipped with the necessary tools and materials.
“The program of initial assessment of the qualification of the working personnel will make it possible to perform proper selection of candidates and employ those who demonstrated sufficient level of professional skills required for working at construction sites abroad. Besides, the workers undergo a comprehensive medical examination and testing”, said Natalya Shafalovich, JSC ASE Vice President for HR and Internal Communications.
The program includes basic courses for occupational and industrial safety standards. All the types of practical training and assessment of qualification are performed in accordance with the current epidemic prevention rules.
“Involvement of all the employees who undergo quarantine, into training programs and communication with instructors and experts allow us to enhance the level of their professional skills, prepare them for work at foreign construction sites. Besides, we have significantly reduced the emotional distress of the personnel related to the necessary pre-flight quarantine”, pointed out Alexander Chegodaev, HR director of JSC ASE subsidiary companies.
From May 2020, 2800 employees of Rosatom Corporation Engineering Division underwent observation and were seconded to NPP construction sites abroad. In 2021, it is planned to send about 2200 specialists to foreign construction sites. After the end of COVID-19 pandemic, the training facility organized in Ershovo Park Hotel will continue to operate as a center of assessment and training of the personnel seconded to NPP construction sites abroad.
